This special farmhouse kitchen project in Hatton Vale was so much more than a design job—it was the beginning of a beautiful connection.
The brief was to redesign and expand the existing kitchen, transforming an underutilised office into a generous and welcoming space that could become the true heart of the home. With a big, close-knit family and a love for gathering, the centrepiece became a magnificent central island—a place for cooking, conversation, and connection.
The new kitchen blends farmhouse charm with thoughtful functionality, providing ample space for entertaining while honouring the warmth and flow of country living.
Beyond the kitchen, I’ve since worked with the owners on styling additional rooms and selecting furniture for their Sunshine Coast holiday apartment. Along the way, we formed a wonderful friendship—and I was lucky enough to welcome two of their beautiful cattle dog pups into my own family.
This project is a reminder that good design is about more than just the space—it’s about the people, the memories, and the joy that unfold within it.
